VF4MB – at the Centre of cutting technology

Mitsubishi Materials has recently developed and manufactured a new addition to the IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series, the VF4MB, a 4 flute IMPACT MIRACLE ball nose end mill.

In recent years, to increase the life of moulds and dies, the trend has been towards increasing the hardness of the mould material. Meanwhile, for reduction of costs, there is an increasing demand for ever higher efficiency machining.

The solution to successfully meeting these demands is the VF4MB end mill. It employs a 4 flute geometry with a full cutting edge to the centre of the ball, and in combination with Impact Miracle coating provides the necessary efficiency of cutting together with high heat and wear resistance. This results in longer tool life and higher efficiency even when machining hardened steels. Additionally, the unique strong cutting edge geometry prevents chipping problems that are often caused when machining hardened steel.

Also suitable for 5 axis machining because of the special flute geometry and with the ability to machine up to 70HRC materials makes it an ideal tooling solution to meet modern machining requirements.
