Mitsubishi Materials VF-HV range of anti vibration end mills has been expanded. A semi long type VFJHV now adds versatility to the range by covering longer reach applications. A very useful undercut shank type was launched in 2008 and the final additions are smaller diameter tools, from Ø2 – Ø5 and complements the series by giving the choice of vibration controlled machining even on smaller workpieces and component geometries.
The VF-HV series uses irregular pitch flutes in combination with varied helix angles that significantly reduces the occurrence of vibration when machining, leading to higher reliability and smoother surface finishes.
They also use a new flute geometry that improves chip disposal properties. Due to these advantages and use of the infamous IMPACT MIRACLE coating technology they can be used effectively for machining difficult to cut materials and in applications where long overhangs are required.
A total of 40 different size and length combinations are available from ø2~20mm in the square corner type and 28 different types with differing lengths and diameters for the corner radii type.
