Additional Sizes for the Violet Range of High Precision Drills for Stainless Steel

July 27, 2005

Mitsubishi Materials Kobe Tools Corporation has recently developed and manufactured new sizes in its Violet High Precision drill series for stainless steel, the VA-PDM-SUS. These new drills are being sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).

IMPACT MAICRO End Mills   The Violet series is a range of high precision type drills with a superior heat- and wear-resistant Violet coating. Combining the coating with the newly developed top edge geometry (PAT. pending) makes them ideally suited for stainless steels.
The VA-PDM-SUS drills are now available in size increments of 0.01mm from the smallest diameter size of 0.5mm, making them suitable for a wider range of highly accurate drilling applications.
A total expanded range of 491 sizes are now available compared to the previous 121.
