MIRACLE coated WSTAR Super Long Drills addition

  Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured additions to the range of MIRACLE coated WSTAR super long drills, solid carbide drills for efficient deep hole drilling. These new drills will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).
MIRACLE coated WSTAR Super Long Drills  The MIRACLE coated WSTAR super long drill is a solid carbide drill capable of high-quality, efficient drilling of deeper holes that can replace the traditionally used HSS and gun type drills.
　The range of drills has been expanded since the initial launch in February 2004. It has been expanded to include different diameters and lengths.

Features of MIRACLE coated WSTAR super long drills

1.
The wave cutting edges forcibly break the chips into small pieces, allowing a stable cutting action without causing fracturing at the cutting edge.
2.
The unique flute shape, designed for efficient chip disposal, allows continuous feed drilling. This results in a greatly improved machining efficiency.
3.
MIRACLE VP coating with a high resistance to heat, wear and oxidation, makes the drills suitable for MQL machining, thereby extending tool life and reducing coolant costs.


A total of 91 different internal coolant type drills for 10xD, 15xD, 20xD, 25xD and 30xD are available as standard and can be supplied in sizes ø3mm – ø14mm at 0.5mm intervals. (67 types have been newly added to the range)

Mitsubishi will continue to produce to order non-standard drills ø3 – ø20mm in diameter and an overall length up to 350mm.
