Addition of corner R0.2mm inserts to the FH breaker series for finishing

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured new corner R0.2mm inserts for the FH breaker series for finishing. These will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida, Tokyo).

With the growing trend toward downsizing of general machine parts, corner radii of the stepped portions of the parts are designed to be increasingly smaller out of the need to combine numerous parts in narrow spaces. For negative inserts, inserts with corner R0.4mm or above are usually used, however smaller corner radius inserts are now in increasing demand from the customers in the precision machine parts industry. With this as a background, corner R0.4mm inserts have now been added to the FH breaker series for finishing.
