Launch of the VF-2MD, 2 flute end mill and the VF-4MD, 4 flute end mill

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured a new range of the IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series, the addition comprises of the VF-2MD, 2 flute end mill and the VF-4MD, 4 flute end mill. These will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Tanaka, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida, Tokyo).
The VF-2MD and VF-4MD are a range of 2 and 4 flute square type end mills, the successful IMPACT MIRACLE series for high speed, high hardness and high efficiency machining. Optimization of the cross section flute geometry and helix angle with a balance of low cutting resistance and excellent fracture resistance results in stable performance when machining of hardened materials and high speed machining. Additionally, utilization of the IMPACT MIRACLE coating, popular for hardened steel machining allows for extended tool life.
