Mitsubishi Materials USA Corporation introduces the world's first "4" coolant holed drill to our Drilling Family.

The MNS type drill is designed for high efficiency machining of aluminum alloys.
Technical Information:
  • Available in metric diameters (only) in 0.1mm increments from 3.0mm to 14.0mm
  • A total of 404 items available in 4 types: LB (5xD), 10DB (10xD), 20DB (20xD) and 30DB (30xD)
  • The 5 ~ 20xD are available from 3.0mm to 14.0mm diameters and the 30xD are available from 3.0mm to 10.0mm
  • Non-coated (TF15 Grade) and no hone
  • The center coolant holes provide increased lubrication at the center of the cutting edge to prevent welding
  • Special flute geometry (wider flute than MWS) improves chip evacuation; therefore, you can drill at higher feed rates
Applications to Target:
  • All Aluminum Alloys
  • Aluminum applications where high feed rates are desired
  • Aluminum applications using MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication)

  • All the dimensions of the MNS drills: LB (5xD), 10DB (10xD), 20DB (20xD) and 30DB (30xD) are the SAME dimensions as the MWS drills: LB (5xD), 10DB (10xD), 20DB (20xD) and 30DB (30xD)
  • When using the MNS 10DB (10xD), 20DB (20xD) and 30DB (30xD), you must use a starter drill. The following drills can be used as starter drills: MWE-SA, MZE-SA & MAS-MB
  • For all MNS drill diameters of 4.5mm or less, there are only 2 coolant holes
