Insert expansion for SPX milling cutters; JM-breaker

Mitsubishi Materials introduces the JM-breaker insert into the SPX Milling Family. The SPX milling cutters are Indexable end mills for deep shoulder milling.
Technical Information:
- For semi-finishing applications, this new insert with JM-breaker is a good choice
- JM-breaker can produce a good wall finish
- JM-breaker now available in VP15TF and VP20RT grades
Applications to Target:
- Machining Cast iron press molds (base), where parts have tall flat surfaces
- Machining Ductile Cast iron press molds (trim), where you need to reach deep into a cavity
Benefits:
- Our WH-breaker (wavy cutting edge) is the first choice for roughing applications
- If you need a better wall finish, use JM-breaker (smooth cutting edge)
- Grade VP15TF recommended for cutting Cast Irons / Ductile Cast iron
- Grade VP20RT recommended for cutting Alloy tool steel / Cast tool steel
