APX4000 expansion; New, (metric), APX4000 shell mill type tooling.
(APX4000 or APX4K offer 50mm & 63mm metric cutting diameters)

Technical Information:
- APX shell mills offer low cutting resistance for deep shoulder milling
- 3-D flute design offers excellent chip disposal
- Good tool life, due to effective chip control and low cutting resistance
- The APX4K 50mm has 3-effective flutes & the 63mm has 4-effective flutes; both can provide increased productivity
- Inserts with 0.032" radius are recommended

Applications to Target:
- Machining parts where you need to reach deep into a cavity
- Machining steel & other materials, where the parts have tall flat surfaces
- The use of the long cutting edge type makes it possible to dramatically increase efficiency
- APX can produce a good wall finish, using the M-breaker
