Marketing Memo for APX4000 expansion; The APX series now offers 3/4" diameter with the popular "FA" flat-shank endmill for your customers' needs. "Also new, B-type" endmills and facemills for large radius inserts.
Technical Information:
  • 3/4" APX4000 endmills are now available with flats on the shank to satisfy customers using side lock holders
  • For applications using an insert radius greater than 0.079", the B-type is now available
  • Pocket, shoulder & helical milling, slotting, ramping and more; the APX can handle a variety of cutting modes

Applications to Target:
  • With excellent ramping abilities, the APX can reduce your production times
  • Achieve a good balance of wear and fracture resistance for machining steel and cast iron with VP15TF grade
  • For a variety of tough jobs with good performance in stainless steel, use VP20RT grade
Benefits:
  • APX inserts allow for low cutting resistance and a very good wall finish
  • Facemills come standard with coolant/air through set bolt, (clamping bolt)
  • M-breaker, (general use type), first choice for most applications
