Technical Information:
  • Extremely wide effective chip control range
  • Ideal for parts were variations in depth of cut occur (eg. Copying)
  • Breaker geometry prolongs crater wear development.
  • Maintain effective chip control for longer periods
  • Can reduce chip length when transitioning from a diameter, through a radius, to a shoulder
  • The MP geometry generates less heat preventing crater wear

Applications to Target:
  • Carbon steels: 1025, 1045, 1055 ,etc
  • Alloy steels: 5120, 4120, etc
  • Applications with varting depth of cut
  • Copying processes suffering from poor chip control
  • Applications that machine various geometries from one work material
  • Applications sacrificing chip control for wear and fracture resistance
