Introduction of new, medium duty, MP chipbreaker inserts for machining steel

Technical Information:
- Extremely wide effective chip control range
- Ideal for parts were variations in depth of cut occur (eg. Copying)
- Breaker geometry prolongs crater wear development.
- Maintain effective chip control for longer periods
- Can reduce chip length when transitioning from a diameter, through a radius, to a shoulder
- The MP geometry generates less heat preventing crater wear
Applications to Target:
- Carbon steels: 1025, 1045, 1055 ,etc
- Alloy steels: 5120, 4120, etc
- Applications with varting depth of cut
- Copying processes suffering from poor chip control
- Applications that machine various geometries from one work material
- Applications sacrificing chip control for wear and fracture resistance

- Increased chip control in profile machining
- Increased chip control in low to medium carbon steels
- Increased tool life when crater wear is the failure mode
