BC8020 cBN coated cBN product expansion

Mitsubishi is pleased to announce the expansion of BC8020 the new cBN coated grade. BC8020 is a coated cBN grade that compliments Mitsubishi Materials cBN coated grades of MBC010 and MBC020. BC8020 covers a very wide range of applications from general hardened steels applications to the more severe interrupted cutting applications. BC8020 for hardened steel applications.
Technical Information:
- BC8020 coated cBN grade for steel applications
- cBN substrate with high edge toughness and crater wear resistance
- Recommended for continuous or interrupted cutting applications especially where chipping may occur from interruptions
- Wet or dry applications: not recommended wet on interrupted cutting
- Improved tool life in heavy interrupted cutting applications
- New BC (Boron Coated) designation coated cBN grade. BC8020 compliments MBC010 and MBC020 coated cBN grades
