Solid Carbide End Mill expansions
January 09. 2009
Expansions included are as follows: VFMHV ( variable helix ) size expansions; cutting diameter is larger than shank diameter. C3SAD ( 3 fluted Alimaster ) also include size expansions with the cutting diameter larger than the shank diameter. cBN2XLB includes two items with a larger overall length.
Technical Information:
- The VFMHV and C3SAD reduced shank is provided for deep applications in order to avoid interference
- Core rigidity is kept with the shank reduction
- The cBN2XLB expansion is provided with a longer overall length for extended reach necessities
- The bonding method of cBN to carbide ensures the capability of performance in long overhang situations
Applications to Target:
- The VFMHV with reduced shank is ideal for deep slotting and/or shoulder milling without vibration
- The C3SAD with reduced shank is ideal for high efficiency deep slotting and/or shoulder milling of aluminum
- The cBN2XLB expansion is targeted for mold and die work with deep walls and/or cavities
Benefits:
- VFMHV; eliminate chatter, enhance productivity with hardened steel and heat resistant alloy applications
- C3SAD; Alimaster will provide high efficient milling in aluminum applications
- cBN2XLB will provide supreme surface finishes and eliminate manual finishing
