Mitsubishi Materials is proud to announce the launch of the VFHVRB end mill. This new end mill has the capability of a high feed mill, also utilizing its abilities from the peripheral cutting edges.
Technical Information:
- Negative cutting edge
- Special round gash at corner radii and a separate gash in the face of the end mill
- Large flute pocket
- Variable helix
- Cutting diameter 4mm and under have an equal flute length, 6mm and above are 1.5 times diameter
- Impact Miracle coating and tough carbide substrate
Applications to Target:
- Pocketing or deep slotting
- Mold and die or automotive industries
- Operations which EDM the roughing process
- Roughing and semi-finish operations
- Applications in need of cycle time reduction
- Carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, and hardened steel up to 60HRc
Benefits:
- Negative cutting edge, large flute pocket and special rounded gash at the radius contribute to a high level of chipping resistance
- Variable helix decreases vibration and creates stable machining
- Special gash in the face enables larger depth of cut capabilities in comparison to our VCHFRB high feed end mill
- Highly rigid design combined with the special face gash enables high feed rate equal to our VCHFRB high feed end mill
- Impact Miracle coating and tough carbide substrate allow for highly efficient machining in various steel applications
