MMT threading insert product expansion. 14 items in grade VP20RT are being added as Japan stock items.

Technical Information:

• Reference pages A338 - A345 in Catalog C003A
• Inserts with "-S" suffix are "M" tolerance, Full Form, sometimes referred to as thread topping, with molded in chipbreakers
• OD and ID holders currently available in Metric sizes, Inch holders planned.
• VP20RT grade features increased toughness compared to VP15TF

Applications to Target:

• ISO threads which require full form, or topped, threads
• "-S" suffix inserts where chip control is desired
• Difficult to machine materials
• Threading applications featuring interruptions such as a keyway
• Applications demanding a grade with more toughness than VP15TF

Benefits:

• VP20RT grade provides excellent combination of wear and shock resistance
• Chip control with "-S" style inserts
• Alternate source to keep incumbent in check
