Expansion of grade VP15TF by 30 insert styles
Technical Information:
- VP15TF features (Al,Ti)N coating with greatly increased heat resistance and adhesion strength
- Substrate grade is TF15, a micro-grain alloy with high wear resistance and toughness
- High transverse rupture strength
- Above average hardness of 91.5 (HRA)
- Miracle coating to expel heat when machining
Applications to Target:
- VP15TF covers a wide range of work materials
- Grades F620 and UP20M are candidates for an upgrade to VP15TF
Benefits:
- VP15TF covers wide range of work materials, (steel, pre-hardened steel with 40-50HRC and cast & ductile iron)
- VP coating oxidizes at a higher temperature than TiN and (TiAl)N PVD coatings allowing higher cutting speeds
